Who is God?
Who is God? God’s existence is confirmed by:
All people have an inner awareness of God Roman 1:18-32.
They try to fill this with other efforts, such as, money, idols, spiritism, success, pleasure, and power. Ps 14:1 and 53:1. This is a result of sin Rom 1:18. However, in the life of the believer the Holy Spirit bears witness together with our spirit that we are God’s children Rom 8:16.
We can believe in the testimony of the bible Ps 19:1-2; 8:1-9; Acts 14:17 and Rom 1:20.
In every human being there is a God – size cavity and no creation without a creator.
For us to know God, He needs to reveal and make known to us, and in this He takes the initiative. Matt 11:27; John 1:1–14.God is eternal Ps 33:11. God does not learn new things nor does He forget old ones, other wise His perfect knowledge would change, which would mean that it was not perfect in the first place Isa 46:9-11, Jn 8:58, Col 1:17 and Eph 1:4-5.
God’s eternal relationship with time: In the start was God - Creation – Birth of Christ – 2010 – Second coming – eternity with God; He knows no end. God is unchanging in His being, perfection, intentions and promises. James 1:17, Matt 13:35, 25:34. God is love, even before He created and before there were people to love. Love is not an attribute that He developed after He created or as time passed.
God already is love. Num 23:19, Isa 46:3-9. Different names used in the bible for God, help us to understand something of His attributes and even before creation God had is attributes.
